CCMH and HFCC Sponsor Go Red For Women Event on Heart Disease
Crawford County Memorial Hospital (CCMH) and the Hospital Foundation of Crawford County (HFCC) are sponsoring a “Go Red for Women” salad luncheon and program at 12:00 noon on Saturday, April 6. The free event will be held at CCMH at 100 Medical Parkway in Denison.
According to the American Heart Association, heart disease is the number one killer of women and is more deadly than all forms of cancer. The Go Red For Women event at CCMH is designed to raise awareness of heart disease in women and provide education to limit the effects of the deadly illness.
Dr. Amy Arouni of Alegent/Creighton Cardiology Clinic in Omaha will be the guest speaker for the event. Her program will discuss ways to prevent heart disease in women without using medication. Those prevention methods include dietary changes, exercise, and other lifestyle modifications. Dr. Arouni is a graduate of the Creighton University School of Medicine and currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Division of Cardiology at the Creighton University Medical Center. She is Board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease.
The salad luncheon and program are free but space is limited. Please RSVP by calling 712‐265‐2693 to reserve your space. For more information, call 712‐265‐2515.
