Orthopedics

Overview

Orthopedics

Orthopedics is the practice of medicine that focuses on diagnosing, treating, and preventing conditions that affect the musculoskeletal system, including bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles, and nerves. Orthopedic care helps patients manage pain, improve mobility, and restore function after injury, illness, or wear and tear over time.

Orthopedic providers treat a wide range of conditions, from sports injuries and fractures to arthritis, joint pain, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Care may include non-surgical treatments such as physical therapy, injections, and rehabilitation, as well as surgical options when appropriate. The goal of orthopedic care is to help patients return to daily activities safely and maintain an active, healthy lifestyle.
