(Denison, IA) – The Crawford County Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees is proud to announce the addition of Andrew Rinek, MD to its Emergency department (ED). Dr. Rinek will join Dr. Michael Luft, Dr. Patrick Luft, and Dr. Kyle Brown, on the medical staff in the ED.
“Dr. Rinek joining our Emergency department staff is evidence of the commitment of the Board of Trustees to provide the best emergency medicine on behalf of all Crawford County residents,” said Erin Muck, CCMH President and CEO.
A graduate of the Poznan University of Medical Sciences in Poland where he earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD), Dr. Rinek performed his Family Medicine Residency at the East Central Mississippi Health Network in Meridien, MS. Dr. Rinek most recently worked in Emergency medicine at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan where he served as the Health Unit Coordinator.
“I am looking forward to serving the people of Denison and Crawford County. My goal is to offer the most comprehensive and compassionate emergency services possible,” Dr. Rinek said.
A veteran of the US Maine Corps, Dr. Rinek served multiple deployments to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). He is Board eligible for both Family Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine.
Dr. Rinek earned his undergraduate degrees from the University of Michigan and, in the past, has served as the Chief Financial Officer for a corporation headquartered in Leipzig, Germany. He is fluent in speaking both English and German and possesses advanced linguistic skills in Polish.
