CCMH Welcomes Dr. Michele Tingle to Emergency Department Staff

Crawford County Memorial Hospital (CCMH) Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that Dr. Michele Tingle, D.O., has joined the medical staff as an emergency department physician. Dr. Tingle brings a wealth of experience in emergency medicine, family practice, and integrative medicine to the Crawford County community.

“We are thrilled to have a physician with Dr. Tingle’s extensive background join our team,” said Erin Muck, CCMH President and CEO. “Her broad experience and commitment to patient care will be a tremendous asset to our emergency department and the community we serve.”

Dr. Tingle is a native of Iowa, having graduated from Dowling Catholic High School in West Des Moines. She earned her Bachelor of Arts with majors in Biology and Chemistry from Simpson College in Indianola before attending the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Science, now Des Moines University. She completed her family practice residency at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines and a general surgery residency at the VA Medical Center. She is board-certified by the American Board of Family Practice and the American Board of Integrative Medicine.

With nearly three decades of experience, Dr. Tingle has worked in a variety of clinical settings across Iowa, including roles as an emergency physician at multiple hospitals such as Mercy Medical Center, Methodist Medical Center, and Boone County Hospital. She has also served as a medical director for Fraser Ambulance and Air Transportation and has provided specialized wound care and urgent care services.

Dr. Tingle has received several accolades throughout her career, including the Patient Choice Award and the ACE (Always Committed to Excellence) Award, both of which were given in recognition of her compassion and dedication to her patients.
