A little over a year ago, Crawford County Memorial Hospital (CCMH) began a 30-month project to remodel and expand its Rehab Services department and CCMH Medical Clinic. This project is now bearing fruit, as the first phase of the Rehab Services remodel is nearing completion.
In just a few weeks, the Rehab Services area will be finished, bringing additional capabilities for Speech Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Cardiac Rehab, Cardiopulmonary, and Pediatrics. A new pediatric gym has been added for children recovering from injury or illness, and the physical therapy gym has been enlarged with new equipment. Similarly, the Cardiac Rehab area will also feature new equipment and more capabilities.
To celebrate this milestone, CCMH will host a public open house in mid-September to showcase the newly completed Rehab Services area. Additional information about the event will be announced soon.
Meanwhile, progress continues on the CCMH Medical Clinic expansion. Almost all exterior work is complete, and workers are busy inside installing electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling, drywall, and paint. With the new windows now in place on the west and south sides of the clinic, the project area is fully weather-tight, allowing work on the floors and walls to continue in a more climate-controlled setting.
The second phase of the project, which includes the completion of the west portion of the clinic expansion, is scheduled for early 2026. The entire remodel and expansion project is on track to be completed in early 2027. We will continue to provide updates as the project progresses.
