Dr. Kyle Brown earned an undergraduate degree in anthropology from Iowa State University of Science and Technology, he completed his medical education at the University of Medicine and Health Sciences, St. Kitts and completed a residency in family medicine at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center.
Prior to attending medical school Dr. Brown had a career in emergency medical services as a paramedic and educator. He has served as an adjunct professor of physiology and pathophysiology at the Mercy College of Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa. He has interests in wilderness and environmental medicine and is a Fellow of the Academy of Wilderness Medicine who regularly volunteers as an instructor teaching medical students, resident physicians and others about wilderness medicine topics.
