Macklin “Mac” Conrad, PA-C, joined the CCMH Family Medicine team as a newly graduated Physician Assistant in October 2025. Before earning his master’s degree, he gained valuable hands-on experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in long-term care for two years during his undergraduate studies.
Mac earned his Bachelor of Science from Upper Iowa University and his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Des Moines University. His professional interests include sports medicine, acute care, and orthopedics.
Originally from Sigourney, Iowa, Mac grew up in a rural community and values the close-knit connections that come with small-town living. He is engaged to Kiaya Alderson, PA-C, who also recently joined the CCMH Family Medicine team, and together they are excited to build their careers and make a positive impact in the community.
Outside of work, Mac is an avid hunter and fisherman, spending many fall weekends in a tree stand or exploring open grasslands. He also enjoys playing volleyball—whether indoors or in the sand—and spending time with family, often gathered around a table for a good game of cards.
