Whitney Shariati is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) with more than eight years of experience in mental health. She earned a master’s degree from Lipscomb University and has worked in a variety of settings, including adult and adolescent clinics. She describes her treatment style as warm, relational, and collaborative.
“I believe therapy works best when it feels like a safe and supportive space to slow down, be honest, and explore what matters most,” she said. “My work is grounded in attachment theory and acceptance and commitment therapy, helping clients clarify their values, build flexibility in how they respond to challenges, and cultivate deeper connections with themselves and others. At the heart of my approach is presence and encouragement — walking alongside you as you move toward a life and relationships that feel more aligned and meaningful.”
Shariati says she savors “simple rituals,” like going for walks with her family, cooking something new, or playing piano, a lifelong passion.
