Dr. Ramachandran was born in New Delhi, India. He immigrated to the United States at the age of seven with his family. Dr. Ramachandran, grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and became an U.S. citizen during his freshman year at Creighton Prep. During his undergraduate years at Creighton University, he worked as Dataphone, EKG, and Holter technicians. While working as an EKG technician, he developed an interest in becoming a physician, and whole-heartedly worked to achieve that goal. Consequently, he did well in medical school graduating in the top 20% of his class. He was involved in community and university service activities such as ILAC (Institute of Latin American Concerns) and serving as senior class president. Dr. Ramachandran did an internship at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri and residency in internal medicine at St. Joseph Hospital at Creighton University Medical Center. He went on to a cardiovascular disease fellowship at University of Nebraska Medical Center and Creighton Cardiac Center, in Omaha, Nebraska.
